Businessman Spring Golf 2007 Successfully Ends

More than 100 golfers, mainly including business people from all economic sectors in Vietnam, experienced exciting moments of Businessman Spring Golf 2007 tournament hosted by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Masso Group on March 17 at Vietnam Golf & Country Club, Ho Chi Minh City.

 

Seventeen prizes were awarded to winners. Businessman Kim Kyu from Korean VN Co. and Ms Tam Tailor won champion trophy for men and ladies, respectively. Mr. Kim said: “I would like to thank the Organizing Board that invited me to participate in the event and find very lucky when winning the honourable prize.”

 

Ms Tam Tailor, one of familiar golfer in the South stressed: “Today, I play very well and win two official prizes: Ladies Champion and Ladies Longest Drive. I have joined many golf tournaments; however, Businessman Spring Golf 2007 has created good opportunities for me to meet other business people and high-ranking officials.”

 

 “This is the first time VCCI has organized a golf tournament in the South. We are very happy when receiving strong support and participation of golfers. For business people, golfing aims at not only keeping fitness but also strengthening business relations. This year, VCCI will continue hosting the 3^rd Vietnam Businessman Golf Tournament nationwide on October on the occasion of the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, October 13,” remarked Mr. Hoang Van Dung, VCCI Standing Vice President.

 

Representing for the main sponsor, Mr Ajith Weerasekera, Qatar Airways Regional Director for Vietnam revealed that thanks to the tournament’s success, Qatar Airways will keep on sponsoring for other sport events in the future. Also sharing the view, Ms Pham Thi Uyen Chau, Managing Director of Masso Group, confirmed: “With the great success of the first tournament, we will try to make it become the annual event for the Vietnamese business community in the South in every spring season.
