VietnamCentralProvince Approves US$62.5-Mln Resort
The central province of Quang Binh has just okayed the construction of a resort project worth VND1 trillion (US$62.5 million), Vietnam News Agency reported March 26.
Local Dong Duong Company will build the hot spring tourism resort at a 373-hectare site in Le Thuy district. The project will accommodate a hotel, villas, restaurants, entertainment areas and many other facilities.
Quang Binh is now seeking investors for nine tourism projects including four-five star hotels, Dong Hoi trade center, Ba Don Trade center and Cau Rao Park entertainment area.
Others include Dong Hoi sports center, Cau Rao Park festival area, Bang eco-tourism, Phong Nha-Ke Bang cultural area and Dong Hoi golf course.
Quang Binh’s Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park is among Vietnam’s five natural and cultural world heritage sites recognized by UNESCO.
This year, the province expects to welcome 35,000 international visitors. (VNS, Website of Quang Binh)
