Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in cooperation with Saigon Securities Inc. (SSI) and Kings’ Valley Corporation, successfully organized International Businessman Golf Tournament 2008 on April 13, at Kings’ Island Golf, Ha Tay province.
The sport event lured 132 golfers, who were mainly business people from all economic sectors in Vietnam. Especially, many leaders of foreign-invested enterprises, international organizations, and seven ambassadors to Vietnam joined the tournament, showing the special attention of the international community in Vietnam to activities of VCCI.
The golf tournament aimed at creating good opportunities for international and local business people to exchange views and enhance business relations in the international integration, and partly strengthening the close relationship between VCCI and the Vietnamese business community, noted Dr. Doan Duy Khuong, VCCI Vice President.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, President & General Director of SSI, it is great honour for SSI to act as the sole sponsor for the tournament to create an interesting playing field for business people as well as to affirm the SSI trademark and strong position of a leading financial group in Vietnam.
With the shotgun start format, the golfers were grouped into three divisions. The Hole-in-One prize is a Toyo Camry 2.4, but unexpectedly, no one won the luxury car.
The Prize Awarding Ceremony took place on the evening of the same day at Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake Hotel in Hanoi with lots of fun, interesting moments, and attractive luck draws.
