Vietnam Co Plans US$1 Bln Golf Course, Five-star Hotel in Laos
The Vietnam Long Thanh Trade and Investment Joint Stock Co is expected to build a golf course and a five start hotel in Laos with a total investment capital of some US$1 billion, marking the Vietnam's largest investment project abroad to date, according to the Vietnam's Commercial Affairs in Laos.
To cover an area of 557 hectares in Dongphosy village, Hatsaifong Dist in Vientiane capital, the project signed on December 26, 2008 will be implemented into four phases.
The construction will be started this year and finished by 2020.
Most recently, a joint venture with a 80 per cent stake invested by Vietnam's Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group received a license to carry out a complex of apartment and high-ranking hotel and grow rubber forest with a total investment capital of US$20 million (332 trillion dong).
At present, Vietnam has 368 investment projects in 44 countries and territories worldwide with a total registered investment capital of US$4.4 billion. (Vnbusinessnews.com)
