Vietnam Coal Exports Up 96% On-year to 2.297 MT in Oct: Ministry
Vietnam exported a total of 2.297 million tons of coal valued at US$125.4 million in Oct, up 96% and 0.7% from a year earlier, respectively, the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Trade Information magazine reported.
In Jan-Oct, the country shipped abroad 19.98 million tons of coal worth US$1.04 billion, up 9.3% on-year in term of volume and down 18.2% on-year in value.
Vietnam exported 1.9 million tons of coal valued at US$93.3 million to China in Oct, up 33.4% and 30% on-month, and up 120.6% and 28.1% on-year, respectively.
Meanwhile, it shipped abroad 177,500 tons of coal worth US$15.2 million to Japan in the month, up 46.3% and 54% on-month, and up 66.3% and down 37.8% on-year, respectively. (Trade Info)
