Italian Businesses Keen on Vietnam Tourism Potential
A mission of seven Italian hotel operators have started a visit to Vietnam on March 22 to seek potential partners and investment opportunities.
During the trip, they will meet with 100 investors operating in the tourism property sector in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and the central city of Danang as well as visit tourism projects in the country.
Vietnam has big potential for tourism development with numerous landscapes, including five world heritage sites of Ha Long Bay, Hue imperial city, My Son sanctuary, Phong Nha-Ke Bang cave and Hoi An ancient town, the operators said.
With a population of over 86 million, Vietnam is emerging as a potential market for Italia investors, they added.
Italian investment into the country is expected to rise 10% from the current US$200 million this year, said Damiano Francovigh, First Secretary of the Italian Embassy and Head of the Economic and Commercial Section. (Investment)
