A seminar themed "Corporate Social Responsibility in Asia – toward Dialogue and Cooperation for Sustainable Development" was held by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), ActionAid Vietnam and Asia (Thailand) in Hanoi on October 25-26.

The conference focused on discussing relations between corporate social responsibility (CSR) with the principles of sustainable development and poverty reduction – one of the issues on the agenda of governments, international organisations, companies and the international and regional communities.

Dr. Doan Duy Khuong, Vice President of VCCI, emphasised that the contribution of companies in the implementation of corporate social responsibility is a decisive factor to form partnership relationship between governments with businesses and other stakeholders to obtain the common goal. This will generate opportunities for the network connection and create momentums for the development on the basis of social equality, environment production and cultural characteristics.
