Kien Giang Calling for Domestic and Foreign Investors

The southern province of Kien Giang has introduced 15 projects playing important roles in its socioeconomic development and 131 small-scaled projects to investors.

Major projects, with expected investment capital of VND20-1,000 billion, include 10,000-ha marine aquaculture project (Hon Nghe Island, Kien Luong district), Kien Luong town water supply project (Kien Luong district), Tac Cau fishing port infrastructure investment project - second phase (Chau Thanh district), Tac Cau industrial zone infrastructure investment project (Chau Thanh district), U Minh Thuong road expansion project (U Minh Thuong district), Binh San Mountain tourist site (Ha Tien City).

In the first six months of 2012, Kien Giang licensed 15 investment projects which hired 204.3 ha, bringing investment projects in the province to 483 projects with a total leased area of 24,294 ha.
