Da Nang City is working with related sides in an endeavour to reopen the air connection between Da Nang City and Thailand’s Bangkok City which was suspended in mid-2010. The central coastal city hopes to resume the route in late 2012 or early 2013.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the city is working with Thai Airways, the former operator of the old route, for resumption. It also hoped AirAsia can open this route.
Tran Chi Cuong, Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said: In preparation, we will launch a road show in Bangkok to introduce the local tourism in October.
Two foreign carriers which are operating regular flights from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and from Singapore to Danang are AirAsia and SilkAir.
