In the past years, Tay Ninh Power Company (Tay Ninh PC) has constantly strived to assert its name in the electricity distribution market, contributing to fulfilling the glorious task of "electricity is one step ahead" entrusted by the Party and the State, creating a driving force for socio-economic development of Tay Ninh province in particular and the whole country in general.
By the end of 2019, the whole province has 314.23 km of 110kV lines, 12 110kV-transformer stations (with a total capacity of 1,064 MVA), 2,944.37 km of 22kV lines, 9,746 of 22kV transformer stations (with a total capacity of 1,307.26 MVA), 4,731.79 km of low voltage lines. In the first nine months of 2019, the company's total output of commercial electricity was 3,008 million kWh, reaching 77.15% of the plan, up 21.76% over the same period last year, and it is expected to be 4,100 million kWh for the whole year of 2019, up 20.12%. The rate of power loss was 3.44%, down 1.31% compared to the plan assigned by the EVN Corporation (4.75%), and it is expected to be 4.43% in 2019, down 0.32%. In the past 9 months, Tay Ninh PC also saved 51.68 million kWh, equivalent to 1.72% of commercial electricity, exceeding 0.22% compared to the plan and expected to be 1.7% of commercial power output in 2019.
Since 1995, rural electrification has been officially piloted in Phuoc Vinh commune, Chau Thanh district, Tay Ninh province; it has then been expanded to Phuoc Thanh commune - Go Dau district, Suoi Da and Cau Khoi communes - Duong Minh Chau district, Suoi Ngo and Tan Hoa communes - Tan Chau district, Truong Dong and Truong Hoa communes - Hoa Thanh district, and Tan Lap commune - Tan Bien district, bringing the national electricity grid to all rural areas of Tay Ninh province.
Along with investing in upgrading the transmission grid system to meet the demand of local load growth, Tay Ninh PC has also given priority to investing in upgrading the distribution grid. Accordingly, in the first nine months of 2019, the company completed renovating 12 power grid projects with 162 km of medium voltage lines and 34 km of low voltage lines with a total investment of VND22 billion. The company inspected and put into operation 26 projects with a volume of 132 km of medium voltage lines, 127 km of low voltage lines, capacity of 21.4MVA transformer station; 6 projects are under construction with a volume of 48.5km and are expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019 with a total investment of VND210 billion. With the implementation of many transmission and distribution grid projects, Tay Ninh PC will ensure electricity supply to meet the needs of socio-economic development as well as the daily needs of people in the province.
In the coming period, Southern Power Corporation and Tay Ninh PC will invest in many power grid projects in the province. Tay Ninh PC will also coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade to advise the provincial People's Committee on investing in solar power plant projects in the area, contributing to increasing the power source connected to the national grid.
In addition to the efforts to improve production and business efficiency, Tay Ninh PC has also paid much attention to social security, taking care of workers' lives as well as building a strong corporate culture. Mr. Nguyen Tan Hung, Director of Tay Ninh PC, said that the beauty in Tay Ninh PC culture was expressed in the spirit of “The leaves protect tattered ones”, in the principle of "Drinking water, remember the source” and the responsibilities to the community and the whole society. For many years, the company has devoted part of its business revenues to support social welfare funds; fund for the poor of Tay Ninh province, and building gratitude houses and compassionate houses. Specifically, from 2017 to 2019, the company has built 10 gratitude houses annually; giving gifts worth VND100 million/year to the poor on Tet holiday; installing rural lighting system worth VND160 million / year; giving 36,000 student books with a value of VND 201.6 million.
Recognizing its tireless contributions, Tay Ninh PC was honored to be awarded Third-class Labor Order (1998), Second-class Labor Order (2005); First-class Labor Order (2010), Third-class Labor Order of Trade Union (2013) by the Party and the State; Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, Vietnam Electricity and Excellent Emulation Flag of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Electricity, and Tay Ninh Province People's Committee.
