At a recent Vinh Phuc government-business conference, Vinh Phuc province is expected to support businesses in clearing sites for project expansion, adjust and extend investment certificates, especially access to electricity and water supply, for their stable operations.
PC Vinh Phuc promotes digital transformation to enhance services and support local businesses
Mr. Lee Jong Young, General Director of Haesung Vina Vinh Phuc Co., Ltd, representing South Korean companies doing business in the province, said: businesses are forecast to boost operations and recruit more workers in 2025 and stable power supply for production will play an important role. Therefore, Vinh Phuc is expected to clear obstacles in worker recruitment, supply affordable social housing for workers and stabilize power supply.
In response to proposals and recommendations from businesses, Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that the province will continue to accelerate administrative procedure reform and complete related plans to lure investors. At the same time, Vinh Phuc will speed up power infrastructure connection and expansion to meet the demand of corporate customers.
A representative of Vinh Phuc Power Company (PC Vinh Phuc) said, in response to the needs of businesses, especially during the upcoming hot season, the electricity industry has plans to ensure electricity supply for business activities.
This information was further confirmed at the 2025 Customer Conference of PC Vinh Phuc held last April, attended by 200 major corporate customers. PC Vinh Phuc said that it had exceeded its targets for investment in grid construction, renovation and upgrading; accelerated scientific and technological application, digital transformation in all business activities and customer services; improved the quality and reliability of electricity supply; and brought many convenient services to customers.
In 2024, the company's total commercial output was 4,416.39 million kWh, an increase of 9.69% from 2023, equal to 106.42% of its target of 4,150 million kWh. The total electricity saved by the company was 105.6 million kWh, equivalent to 2.4% of commercial electricity.
PC Vinh Phuc's customer service solutions are highly valued by electricity users
Currently, Vinh Phuc power grid has basically met local load demand with the largest Pmax load capacity of 865 MW. To ensure electricity supply and meet customer needs, in 2024, PC Vinh Phuc managed and carried out 37 power projects with VND272.5 billion disbursed. By the end of 2024, PC Vinh Phuc completed 20 projects, including the construction and renovation of 108.2 km of medium-voltage lines and 93.6 km of low-voltage lines, the construction of 80 new substations with a total capacity of 29,160kVA, and the renovation and upgrading of 56 substations with a total capacity of 25,700kVA. The company continued to implement solutions to improve customer service, which is highly appreciated by electricity users.
Representatives of large companies like Vietnam Germany Steel Mill Group Joint Stock Company and Prime Yen Binh Joint Stock Company shared their experiences in coordinating with the electricity industry in reducing load, using electricity effectively and adjusting production plans reasonably to avoid peak hours and ease pressure on the electricity system. Customer feedback has helped PC Vinh Phuc better understand their needs and expectations for electricity services.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, acknowledged the effort of PC Vinh Phuc in improving electricity supply quality, enhancing service quality and supporting local development. He also affirmed the province's support for solutions to use clean and efficient energy, especially in the context of sustainable economic development. He called on businesses to share and assist the power industry to use electricity effectively and reduce pressure on load capacity during peak hours.
