On April 19, 2006, Quang Nam Tourism Office in conjunction with HITEK company organised a conference on “E-commerce application in Thua Thien Hue tourism” with the participation of over 100 local hotels, restaurants and travel agents. The conference presented application solutions of e-commerce to promote Thua Thien Hue tourism world wide. Special assistance programmes for local hotels, restaurants and travel agents have also been announced.
Quang Nam Tourism Office and HITEK have also introduced its website, www.hotels.com.vn with online room and tour bookings. So far, over 350 hotels nation-wide have participated in the website with the turnover of over US$200,000 in 2005. The main hotels are Saigon Phu Quoc, Liberty Hotel, Furama, and Hoi An Beach Resort.
