Singapore’s Gulfstream Management Ltd received an investment certificate for a shipbuilding project worth more than $5 million in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on July 2.
The new firm will build a shipyard on eight hectares at Dong Xuyen Industrial Park in Vung Tau City, said Ba Ria-Vung Tau Industrial Zones Authority (BIZA).
The facility, which will be built from August, will be able to annually manufacture five ships with a capacity of 2,000-3,000 tons for export.
The shipyard will employ some 200 laborers. (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Online)
