Hanoi-based Hanel Plastic and Packaging Holdings Joint Stock Company (Hanelpad) has recently put its factory into operation in northern Bac Ninh province, Vietnam Economic Times newspaper reported Tuesday.
The factory worth VND100 billion (US$6.25 million) in the first stage is expected to produce 4,000 tons of plastic packaging products a year with 50 per cent of these targeted for exports.
The plant has now received all the orders for 2008, said the Hanelpad’s chairman Hoang Minh Chau.
He also added that his company will kick off the second phase of the plant with a total investment of VND60 billion in early November this year.
The factory outfitted with the US’s very modern technologies is located on 6,000 square meters at Que Vo Industrial Park.
