Vietnam Invests US$2.2 Bln for Water Supply, Environment

Vietnam has invested US$2.2 billion into its clean water supply and environment sanitation projects so far, a local Vietnam Economics Times newspaper said on April 14.
 
Of the sum, the government spent US$1 billion to build 300 clean water-supplying projects and US$1.2 billion to environment sanitation projects.
 
These works with 4.2 million cubic meters help meet 70 per cent of the water demand in urban areas, according to the Ministry of Construction's GSO. (Vietnam Economic Times)
