9:20:34 AM | 5/9/2008

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has asked commercial banks, joint venture banks and foreign banks’ branches to report about credit provision for export activities from March to August.

Banks have to inform their loans for export in Vietnam dong and foreign currency as well as their difficulties in credit activities and proposals for settlement.

The SBV said the reports will be a basis to evaluate lending activities for export and to seek measures to handle banks’ difficulties.

The SBV has also asked joint stock banks to make report about their registered capital hike. ( Economic Times)
