Vietnam, Qatar Sign Deal to Set up US$1 Bln Agri, Energy Fund

Vietnam and Qatar have just reached an agreement on setting up a US$1 billion agricultural and energy fund to boost bilateral cooperation, Vietnam News Agency said on September 4.
 
Qatar will contribute 90 per cent of the fund and the balance will come from Vietnam, the agency said.
 
Qatar will use the money to provide seeds and Vietnam will grow and export farm produces to the Middle East country.
 
The two sides also agreed to establish a farmland to breed cattle and lambs. (VNA)
