Vietnam Railway Corporation Nov 10 said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just approved plans to raise US$1.725 billion for construction of Ngoc Hoi-Yen Vien railway link in the capital city of Hanoi in an effort to solve traffic congestions, the state-run Labor newspaper said.
VRC will be the project investor and the Investment Consultancy Construction and Transportation JV Co will be an advisory which will be in charge of assessing impacts, the paper said.
VRC will build 15.36 kilometers including 10.57 km of elevated railway and 4.79 km of rail links. (Labor)
