The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport has approved a VND9 trillion (US$529 million) project to build a suburban railway system in the capital city of Hanoi.
The 13-kilometer elevated railway will stretch from the Cat Linh street in the center of the city to the southwestern outskirt district of Ha Dong.
It will be one of seven that are planned for the city.
Construction will begin within this year and be completed by 2014. (Youth)
