People’s Committee of central highlands Dak Lak province has licensed Singapore-based Jayangti PTE. Ltd to build an instant coffee plant in Dray Bhang commune, Cu Kuin district.
With scheduled capacity of 6,000 tons of instant coffee yearly, the plant will be the biggest of its kind in Vietnam.
Total investment in the plant will hit VND288 billion (US$16.9 million).
Construction of the plant will start this June, and it is expected to come into operation in May 2011.
Vietnamese market is now full of instant coffee with such famous trademarks as Vinacafe, Newcafe and Trung Nguyen. (The Labor)
