The Can Tho City-based Viet Rice Co. Ltd, a member company of Gentraco Joint Stock Company - a leading rice exporter, has signed a contract with Australia’s Oriental Merchant Group to export fragrant specialty rice to supermarkets in Australia and New Zealand.
In 2009, Viet Rice will ship 350,000 tonnes of rice, in which 70 per cent will be done in the first half of the year.
