Pha Rung Invests US$41 Mln to Build 80,000-ton Ships

Pha Rung Shipbuilding Company will spend VND700 billion (some US$41 million) to build ships of 80,000 tons by the end of this year.
 
The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) will contribute VND391 billion under a recently-signed agreement with the shipbuilder.
 
The Vinashin Financial Company will fund VND200 billion and the rest is shipyard’s capital.
 
Over the 25-year development, the company now has 29 affiliates. It is building many big shipyards like Song Gia and Yen Hung as well as Dinh Vu port and industrial park. (Investment)
