Vietnam HCMC May CPI Likely +0.58 per cent

Consumer price index of Ho Chi Minh City is forecast to have risen 0.58 per cent on month in May and has been up 2.47 per cent since early 2009.
 
CPI hikes are driven by transport, post and telecom, which are likely to be up 2.08 per cent, housing and building materials (+1.37 per cent), domestic appliances (+1.17 per cent).
 
Goods and services are estimated to have been up 0.08 per cent, foodstuff +0.34 per cent, drinks and tobacco +0.48 per cent.
 
Tourism and entertainment is estimated to have dropped 0.14 per cent, it added. (Vietnam Economic Times, VNA)
