Vietnam Firm Signs Deal to Export 50 km Optic Cable to Cuba

Vietnam Optic Cable Joint Stock Company (VINA-OFC) has signed an agreement to export 50 kilometers of optic cable to Cuban Telecom Corporation (Cubatel).

VINA-OFC will provide 24-fibre optic cable under the international standard and technical requirements of Cubatel.

This is the company’s first export contract to Cuba, after traditional markets including South Korea, Laos and Cambodia.

Currently, the firm is providing optic cable mainly for Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) and local telecom businesses. The exports account for 25 per cent of its annual revenues. (CafeF, www.vnmedia.vn))
