The Vietnamese prime minister has recently approved to guarantee for loans from German Reconstruction Bank (KFW), Calyon Bank, and Fortis Banque France S.A for 750-MW Ca Mau 2 gas-fuelled power project in southernmost Ca Mau province, the government of Vietnam said.
The plant together with 750-MW Ca Mau 1 plant and PM3-Ca Mau gas pipeline is part of the US$1.2-billion Ca Mau gas-electricity-nitrogen fertilizer complex in Khanh An commune of U Minh district.
Came into commercial operation in late last year, the plant is capable of generating 18 million kWh of power daily. (chinhphu.vn)
