Vietnam Signs up 32.3M Subscribers in Jan-Sept, Up 74.1%: GSO

Vietnam has signed up 32.3 million new phone subscribers in the first nine months of this year, an increase of 74.1% over the same period last year, the General Statistics Office (GSO) said.
 
The figure includes 3.5 million landline subscribers and 28.8 million mobile phone subscribers, up 81.7% and 73.3% from a year earlier.
 
The new subscription has helped raise the total number of phone clients in Vietnam to 113.6 million by end-September.
 
MobiFone, Vinaphone and Viettel are now the largest mobile network operators, while VNPT and FPT take the lead in providing internet services. (Saigon Liberation)
