Skandy Land to Build US$200M Solar Power Complex in Vietnam

U.S. Skandy Land LLC is planning to build a complex consisting of a solar power plant and two other equipment manufacturing workshops costing US$200 million in total in Vietnam’s central province of Khanh Hoa.
 
The complex will be built on a 150-hectare area at Van Phong industrial park in Van Thang commune, Van Ninh district.
 
Vietnam boasts a huge potential to develop solar energy. The country has up to between 2,000 hours and 2,500 hours of sunshine a year, with solar radiation of 3-3.5 kWh per square meter per day in the winter and of 4.5-6.5 kWh per square meter per day in the summer. (News)
