EVN Invests VND474.66T in Power Projects Since 2006

The state-owned Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) has invested VND474.659 trillion (US$26.588 billion) in 48 power projects with a combined capacity of 22,748 MW since 2006, the group said on its website Tuesday, citing General Director Pham Le Thanh.
 
The capacity accounts for 38.3% of the country’s current electricity capacity, Thanh attributed.
 
Of the projects, EVN invested in 32 projects with a combined capacity of 15,331 MW and contributed capital to the remaining 16 projects with a combined capacity of 7,417 MW, he noted.
 
The group has also poured VND236.882 trillion into power grid projects in the period, he added. (EVN)
