Vietnam Expects US$12.4B from Agro-forestry, Seafood Exports in 2009

Vietnam expects to export US$12.4 billion worth of agro-forestry and seafood exports in 2009, down 5.9% from a year earlier.
 
The country targets $3.05 billion export revenue in the fourth quarter, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
In Oct, Vietnam is estimated to have raked in $1.199 billion from exporting agro-forestry and seafood products. Of the total, export of seafood brought in $450 million; woodwork export, $240 million; and farm produce export, $519 million, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). (Vinanet)
