Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has allowed the Ministry of Transport to start construction of an expressway worth VND9.1 trillion (US$509 million).
Of the sum, VND6 trillion is from ODA funds from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the rest from Vietnam’s reciprocal capital.
The 61.3 kilometer four-lane road will connect Hanoi to provinces of Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen.
The project developed into four bidding packages is expected to open to traffic in 2013. (Investment)
