Vietnam Disburses US$1.86B ODA in Jan-Oct: MPI

Vietnam disbursed US$1.86 billion in official development assistance (ODA) between January and October this year, fulfilling 98% of the year’s target, the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) said.
 
Vietnam has inked ODA agreements totaling US$3.85 billion so far this year, according to the MPI.
 
From now to the year-end, the MPI expects to sign ODA agreements worth US$1.2 billion which will be mainly used for the construction of Thai Binh thermo power plant and health human resource training programs.
 
Vietnam is forecast to receive a total ODA deals worth US$5.07 billion and disburse US$2.47 billion in 2010. (Capital Security)
