E-commerce transactions by Vietnamese businesses this year are estimated at US$96.5 million this year, according to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
The figure is forecast to increase to US$121 million next year, the VCCI’s Business Informatics Institute said at seminar on e-payment for businesses held in the central city of Danang on Nov. 24.
E-commerce application of Vietnamese businesses developed rapidly with the rate of website owners rising to 38% in 2007 from 31% in 2005. (Vietnam Economic Times)
