A sub-region telecom ministerial meeting of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam will open at Vinpearl resort in Nha Trang city of Vietnam from December 11-12.
The meeting will focus on information technology (IT) challenges and ideas for sustainable development in the sub-region, IT policies, infrastructure and human resources, the Buu Dien newspaper run by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) said.
Before the event, the MIC will cooperate with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to hold a regional conference on telecom management from Dec. 8-9 and a telecom business forum Dec. 10 in the city.
A telecom ministerial meeting of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam was first held in Laos in 1994. Vietnam was the host in 1996, 1999, 2002 and 2005. (Post)
