Vietnam’s central highlands province of Dak Lak has decided to allocate 20 hectares of land in Hoa Phu industrial park to Milestone Inc. of Japan to build a US$60-million ethanol plant next year.
Once fully operational in 2012, the plant is capable of producing 120 million liters of ethanol a year.
Vietnam plans to produce 1.8 million tons of ethanol and vegetable fuel oil by 2025 in order to meet 5% of the national petroleum demand. (Labor)
