Vietnam Forecast to Produce 6.8M Tons of Steel Next Year: Ministry

Vietnam is predicted to produce 6.8 million tons of steel in 2010, up 9.3% from a year earlier, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The country will import 5.5 million tons of steel next year, the ministry said without giving on-year comparison.

Vietnam made 4.166 million tons of steel in the first eleven month of this year, up 18.9% from a year earlier. (Vietnam Economic Times)
