PetroVietnam Produces 16M Tons of Crude Oil, Fulfilling 2009 Target

The state-owned Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) said it had produced 6 million tons of crude oil as of Dec 21, completing its full-year target.
 
The group estimates its crude oil production will reach 16.3 million tons this year, surpassing 3% of its full-year target, the Thoi bao Kinh te online newspaper reported Thursday, citing PetroVietnam.
 
PetroVietnam had raked in US$7.82 billion from crude oil exports during the period, exceeding 34% of its full-year target.
 
It earned revenues of VND265 trillion (US$14.34 billion) and paid taxes of VND91 trillion during the time, surpassing 25% and 48% of its full-year targets, respectively.
 
Earlier, PetroVietnam said it targets to produce 16 million tons of crude oil, revenues of VND260 trillion and tax payments of VND88 trillion this year. (vneconomy.vn)
