Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) has been present in Khanh Hoa province for seven years. Since then, Sacombank Khanh Hoa Branch has provided a wide range of modern banking products, services and utilities.

Opening the market
Since its presence in Nha Trang city, the capital of Khanh Hoa province, Sacombank began expanding its operations from its foundation of Khanh Hoa Credit Team, an affiliate of Sacombank - Tan Binh Branch. With its efforts to expand the market and increase the awareness of customers, Sacombank has gained significant success. Within a year, the credit team had qualified for the branch status to control operations of several units in Phu Yen and Dak Lak provinces. In 2003, the Sacombank decided to purchase the land to build the branch office in Nha Trang city to demonstrate its commitment to long-term business and to bring most practical banking utilities to local people.

Gradually, the branch outstripped State-owned commercial banks in terms of retail banking and deposit mobilisation. So far, Sacombank Khanh Hoa has operated six transaction points in key economic areas in the province such as Van Gia town in Van Ninh district (Van Phong Economic Zone), Ba Ngoi town in Cam Ranh township and Ninh Hoa town in Ninh Hoa district. Besides, Sacombank Khanh Hoa has maintained a stable force of regular customers to strengthen the breeding ground for further development.

With numerous endeavours for the local development, Sacombank Khanh Hoa has always brightly completed its primary role of channelling idle capital from other localities into key economic zones in Khanh Hoa province, thus supplying enough capital for development investment and improvement of living conditions in rural areas and contributing to the socialisation of financial and banking activities in the province.

Riding out difficulties and challenges, Sacombank has now become one of leading commercial joint stock banks in Vietnam in business scale and growth, especially in operating network expansion. Sacombank is the only bank in Vietnam to open representative offices in China and foreign subsidiaries in Laos and Cambodia. Being deeply aware of its roles in socioeconomic development in Khanh Hoa province, Sacombank vows to continue cooperating with economic and social organizations to capitalise on other economic advantages and potentialities to help spur the Khanh Hoa economy.

Promoting social activities
The image of Sacombank is getting familiar and friendlier to people and economic entities in the province. Apart from business and banking services, in the past seven years, the branch actively participates in local social activities. Together with the effort to upgrade business, the working philosophy of Sacombank Khanh Hoa is always directed to the community with a wide range of social activities and charity programmes of practical significance. For instance, the branch regularly grants “Germinating dreams” scholarships to poor students with excellent study results; organises annual “Running with Sacombank for community health” cross-country running; takes part in relieving natural disasters; sponsors charity houses; and finance sporting and social programmes.

Knowing that Khanh Hoa is a fertile locality for developing banking services and utilities, based on the provincial economic development orientation, Sacombank will increase its resources, combine the task of supplying good products and services with the responsibility of consulting our customers wholeheartedly. Additionally, the branch will continue to maximise the strength of its operating network, enhance the popularity of Sacombank brand, upgrade modern banking products and services, expand young and dynamic staff force, serve customers considerately and professionally. At the same time, the lender will exert its efforts to become the best supplier of financial solutions for economic organisations and individuals and cooperate with them for the prosperity of Khanh Hoa province.
