Khanh Hoa Tourism Promoting Image

2009 is a difficult year for Vietnam tourism and Khanh hoa in particular. Tourism promotion must be promoted, especially in key markets.
With advantages of natural landscapes and moderate climate, Khanh Hoa is most favourable for tourism development. Vietnam Administration of Tourism has decided to make Khanh Hoa as a tourism centre of Vietnam. Eco-tourism with sea and islands combined with forests offer most attractive destinations such as Van Phong, Dai Lanh, Doc Let, Hon Tam, Tri Nguyen, Bai Tru, Hon Ba, Suoi Tien, Ba Ho, Duc My hot stream, Giang Bay waterfall, in particular, Hon Mun sea reserve with coral reefs and bio-diversity most famous in Vietnam.
 
A world most beautiful bay
The Club of the World Most Beautiful Bays has admitted Nha Trang Bay as the 29th member of the organization.. Nha Trang attracts tourists not only by beautiful beach, blue water and soft waves but also by romantic islands offshore comparable to Phukhet of Thailand and Cannes of France. Many projects of eco-tourism, resorts and amusement parks of national and international standards have been built and under operation such as five-star Hon Ngoc Viet tourist centre, five-star Sunrise Hotel, Ursula-Bai Tien resort and golf course, Song Lo tourist centre, Everton Hideaway at Mandarin. Several other projects have been invested in Bai Dai – Cam Ranch and Van Phong – Van Ninth Bay.
 
Together with eco-tourism, rest & recreation and health care are special kinds of tourism in Tap Ba hot-stream centre. The centre serves mud-bath for medical treatment with modern equipment and technology. Meanwhile, water sports are also available like glider, water-ski, water-scooter, canoe, yacht. Khanh Hoa receives some 670,000 tourists a year, including 270,000 foreign tourists with growth rate of 15 % a year.
 
Promotion upgraded
To promote Khanh Hoa image, since early 2009, Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Centre has participated in many exhibitions, trade fairs and seminars on tourism at home and abroad and organized several events promoting tourism such as Travel 2009 in the framework of ASEAN Tourism Forum 2009 with the participation of 400 international travel agencies. The forum focused on sea tourism. In early October 2009, the Centre participated in the 5th International Tourism Exhibition in Ho Chi Mina Ciity (ITE HCMC 2009). The event has been organized annually to encourage local and foreign companies to introduce new products, increase cooperation and expand markets. Also participated in the exhibition were Ana Mnandara, Novotel, Thap Ba hot-stream centre, Hon Tam and Yen Sao company.
 
At the meetings with major international travel agencies, Vietnamese companies have introduced Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa destination and special tourist products to 150 buyers and journalists of international tourist magazines, The Centre together with HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism have organized Fam Trip for 30 buyers from Australia, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, US, Germany, etc. to make a survey in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Tourism Centre, Fam Trip is a most efficient programme and saving both time and money.
 
So far, the Centre has organized several Fam Trips to Nha Trang from Japan, South Korea and many international journalists, It will continue the programme in the coming years. The Centre together with the Airport Authority of Central Vietnam will convene a conference to open international flights to Cam Ranh and support international airlines to fly to Khanh Hoa to the long-time demand of tourist companies.
