More and more Hanoians are interested in building garden houses in the countryside to have a good time on weekends or holidays. By doing that, it takes them only one hour to drive to the countryside and leave worries of work and life behind. A garden house in the countryside is now a dream of almost all urban citizens. Many people have bought suburb land plots to realize the dream.
According to the survey results by Hai Linh Trade and Tourism Investment JSC, by 2009, there were 2,000 citizens living and working in Hanoi having bought land plots in neighboring localities and built their own ecological manors to relax after hard-working days in the city.
Although the intention is at the initial stage, it is intending to increase. Besides a series of tourism sites, resort projects, and multifunctional entertainment areas mushrooming, the field of ecological garden house is developing strongly both in scale and quality.
For many Hanoians, tourism now does not mean that taking long-day trips to other places. Hanoians nowadays intend to find ecological areas which are only 40-60 kilometres away to relax on weekends.
Let’s imagine a peaceful village in the north with gentle sunshine every morning and smoke of the cooking dusky in the twilight every afternoon. Such pastoral life seems to become colourful and rich in melody as they can leave working pressures behind, escaping from urban noise to return to nature and enjoy peaceful hours besides their friends and relatives.
Having no imposing landscapes like other places, Hanoi’s mountainous areas such as Ba Vi, Luong Son, Soc Son have their own beauty, which is suitable for the construction of poetic garden houses. In addition, land prices in suburb areas are not too high compared to financial capacity of many Hanoians. Thus, not only the rich but medium-income people also can own garden houses here.
“Four years ago, my aunt retired and bought a land in Xuan Mai area because their little saving money was not enough to buy a house in the inner Hanoi. With the sum, my aunt, which is only enough to buy about ten square metres in the inner Hanoi, they purchased thousands of square metres in Xuan Mai, which is now designed into a garden house with many trees and flowers,” Nguyen Thi Bich in Ba Dinh district, Hanoi said.
We, she added, have just bought three perches valued at VND 300 million in Luong Son. Every weekend we spend our time there planning the construction of desired garden house.
Not only individuals, catching up urban citizens’ increasing demand for relaxation, some real estate companies have started investing villas and resort sites in Hanoi’s suburb areas.
They include projects from some hectares to tens of hectares, for example the Top Hills Villas in Luong Son, The Queen Villas in Ba Vi by the Hai Linh Trade and Tourism Investment Joint Stock Company, the Tan Vien Resort project in Ba Vi, the Lam Son Resort in Luong Son by the Property Joint Stock Company Petrowaco, the Grand Arena Hill by the Gia Tue Investment Joint Stock Company. Each project has its own characters.
Tran Minh Hoang, Chairman of the Gia Tue Company said more the society develops, more the demand of living in quality villas become higher. Besides the factor of beautiful landscapes, services must be sufficient.
According to the development planning of the capital city, Xuan Mai, Hoa Lac, Mieu Mon will be built into a chain of new urban areas in order to ease the pressure for the inner city. Along with available bus routes, the completion and operation of Lang-Hoa Lac, the road route 32 and ring roads have helped improve the traffic system linking the inner city and suburb areas.
With the active participation of individuals and enterprises, the field of ecological garden house is believed to develop considerably in the coming time. (VNE)
