Vietnam Licenses 22,000 Enterprises in Jan-April

Vietnam licensed 22,000 companies in the first four months of this year, equal to 81.5% of the total number of new firms in 2009.
 
In April, the country licensed 4,000 enterprises with a combined registered capital of VND42 trillion (US$2.21 billion).
 
The Southeast Asian country licensed 83,000 companies in 2009 despite the global economic downturn. At the end of 2009 Vietnam had around 460,000 companies. (Saigon Marketing)
