The Global Competitiveness Facility for Vietnamese Enterprises (GCF) in the 2011 - 2013 phase has approved two innovative business projects in Dak Lak province, namely the tourism development training initiative by Dam San Trading Tourism Co., Ltd and the initiative of consulting capacity improvement in sustainable coffee development by the Community Development Centre.
GCF, funded by the Danish International Development Agency (DANIDA), is designed to increase the competitiveness of non-State businesses in export-oriented business sectors in the targeted provinces through better access to relevant business services and exposure to innovative business models.
In the 2011 - 2013 phase, the GCF plans to fund 50-60 projects of non-State businesses in eight provinces and cities with a non-refundable aid of VND216 billion (US$10.3 million) and a counterpart contribution of VND164 billion. Each province will have 8-10 projects funded by the CGF from VND400 million to VND8 billion, depending on scale and type.
