The Ministry of Finance and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) on August 8 in Hanoi signed a US$14.4 million loan agreement for a multi-sectoral rural development project in the northern province of Hoa Binh.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Finance Minister Truong Chi Trung thanked the Government and people of Kuwait and the KFAED for their effective support for Vietnam and hoped to receive more assistance in the coming time.
So far, KFAED has provided US$140 million in credit loans for Vietnam through nine projects in favor of rural infrastructure development including small-scale transport and irrigation projects in poor provinces.
