In 1903, Frenchmen began to shape tours from Hanoi to Sapa. At that time, Sapa was sparsely populated. And, the fairyland-like scene on the summit of grandiose Fansipan Mountain has been known as the pride of Sapa, the tourist site that Frenchmen chose.
Without doubt, the Fansipan Mountain is the most majestic in Vietnam. It is also a treasure of rare medicinal plants and valuable biodiversity resources. Now, Fansipan is known to tourists far and wide and is a meeting point for professional climbers to discover and conquer the Fansipan peak.
