Vietnam and Belgium, on June 20, signed four specific agreements in the framework of the Programme “Integrated Water Management and Urban Development in relation to Climate Change” with a total budget of 25 million Euros.
These projects will be implemented in the provinces of Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan and Ha Tinh, and supported by a Technical Support Unit - based at the Ministry of Planning and Investment - that will ensure the overall coordination for the whole programme, while providing technical assistance to the provinces.
The objective of the overall programme is to enhance the resilience to climate change of the above mentioned provinces through strengthening their institutional capacities in integrated water resource management and urban development in relation to impacts of climate change.
