The Department of Transport of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said cargo throughput of the province’s port system reached 22.9 million tonnes in the first six months of 2013.
At present, the province has 26 ports in operation with a combined capacity of 76.5 million tonnes a year. The Cai Mep - Thi Vai port system has 14 ports, the Vung Tau - Long Son port system has 11 ports, and the Con Dao area is now running Ben Dam fishing and general port.
