Viet Nam gained US$2.55 billion from exporting agriculture-forestry-aquatic products in October, raising the total value in 10 months to US$24.61 billion, a year-on-year down 3.8 percent, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The exports of farm products were estimated at US$11.51 billion, down 6.1 percent.
Coffee sales witnessed sharp decreases of 29.6 percent in volume and 31.4 percent in value, worth US$2.13 billion. Germany and the U.S. were the largest importers, accounting for 14.15 percent and 11.61 percent, respectively.
Viet Nam exported 870,000 tons of rubber, earning US$1.22 billion, up 3.5 percent in volume and down 15.8 percent in value.
Among agricultural products, only the shipment of cashews saw year-on-year increases in volume (up 6.8 percent) and in value (up 18.1), reaching US$1.97 billion. The U.S., China and the Netherlands were the largest importers, making up 35.67 percent, 12.92 percent and 12.86 percent, respectively.
