More Than VND4 Trillion Poured in Ba Ria-Vung Tau in Early 2017

Chairman of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province’s People’s Committee Nguyen Van Trinh on February 6 granted investment certificates, worth US$311 million and VND3,588 billion, for four domestic and four foreign investors.
 
As many as 301 valid foreign-invested projects and 451 domestic ones with a total registered capital of nearly US$26.7 billion and more than VND245,500 billion have been launched in the province.
Investors have sped up the implementation of projects, increasing the realized capital from 41 per cent in 2015 to 45 per cent in 2016 for foreign projects and from 42 per cent to 45 per cent for domestic ones.
 
The province’s social investment in 2016 reached around VND41 trillion, up nearly 7 per cent from 2015, including VND33,600 billion from the State and foreign businesses.
 
Managing Director of Hyosung Corp Choi Young Gyo committed to investing US$1.2 billion in Polypropylene (PP) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) projects.
 
The contributions of businesses helped the province achieve a GDP growth of 5.6 per cent in 2016, contribute VND32,500 billion to the State budget and more than VND10 billion to social security projects and create jobs more than 22,000 people.
