Mr. Bui Hong Do, Director of the Vinh Phuc Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center, emphasized that Vinh Phuc has been highly successful in foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction for many years. The early investments of giant firms like Honda, Toyota and Piaggio are clear proof of the province’s appeal. We have competitive advantages with a supporting industry system that includes the manufacturing and supply of components, parts, materials and technical services for key sectors such as automobile, electronics and mechanical engineering. The province is home to around 400 supporting industrial companies, with over 70 participating in supply chains run by major corporations.
From its objective advantages for trade and logistics, plus with the local government that works under the guiding principle of “All investors in Vinh Phuc are citizens of Vinh Phuc, the success of businesses is the success of the province,” the province has been actively addressing bottlenecks in investment attraction; implementing consistent and effective administrative reforms to facilitate access to land, finance and human resources; and improving the accountability of public officials and reforming coordination and problem-solving mechanisms across agencies and localities.
