Phu Tho is focusing on resolving obstacles related to site clearance, resettlement, and technical infrastructure, enabling Sun Group’s projects to secure sites for early implementation and, in turn, attract more investment resources to the province.
At the end of August, Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial People’s Committee and head of the working group supporting projects invested in by Sun Group member companies, conducted field inspections of site clearance progress in Kim Boi, Dung Tien, and Muong Vang communes.
In Kim Boi Commune, the Cuoi Ha Eco-Urban, High-End Entertainment Complex and Cable Car System project has a site clearance area of 109.5 ha. The commune has basically completed compensation, support, and site clearance for about 102.77 ha. Land has been handed over in the first, second, and third phases, covering 58.66 ha, while 32.89 ha is ready for handover in the fourth phase.
Dung Tien Commune is reviewing and verifying dossiers for 14.88 ha of residential land and perennial crop land on the same plots as residential land, with a target of completing site clearance before November 1, 2026.
Meanwhile, in Muong Vang Commune, the Kha Lake project has a site clearance area of 85.22 ha, involving 130 households. As of August 26, 109 households had been inventoried, and compensation and support plans had been prepared for these households, totaling more than VND145 billion (US$5.58 million). The Doi Thung project covers 186.36 ha and involves 203 households, but only 20 households have agreed to the inventory and relocation to the resettlement area.
Dinh Cong Su required local authorities to directly lead the work and closely monitor each task, timeline, and household. They must clearly classify tasks as completed, underway, or delayed. Matters within their authority must be resolved immediately, while issues beyond their authority must be promptly reported to the provincial People’s Committee.
Departments and agencies are required to coordinate proactively and prevent administrative procedures from becoming bottlenecks for the projects. The Department of Agriculture and Environment was assigned to serve as the focal point for monitoring, urging, and consolidating weekly progress and advising the provincial People’s Committee on matters beyond its authority. For the investor, the province requires Sun Group to proactively secure financial resources, closely coordinate with local authorities on compensation, support, and resettlement, and prepare construction conditions immediately after site handover.
