After two years’ operation, the Lam Dong Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Centre has established a close and effective relations with local enterprises, agencies and organisations in and outside Lam Dong province, as well as Vietnamese and foreign investors.
Vu Ngoc Son, deputy director of the Lam Dong Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Centre, said that the centre had always attached importance to developing relations and exchanging information with central and local agencies, Vietnamese and international organisations, as well as Vietnamese trade missions in foreign countries. After the success of the 2004 Trade and Tourism Fair, in 2005 with the guidelines of the Lam Dong Department of Tourism and Trade, the centre expanded the activities of the fair by adding the Love Festival and Wine Party.
With effective activities, the centre has gradually completed its task as a bridge for trade exchange and co-operation between local enterprises and Vietnamese and foreign organisations, associations and enterprises, making a contribution to the development of tourism and trade services in Lam Dong province and the attraction of investment to the province. This is to create favourable conditions for goods and services of Lam Dong province to find a foothold in the local and international markets at the threshold of international integration.
In 2006, the Lam Dong Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotion Centre continue to promote its role in trade, tourism and investment promotion. Accordingly, the centre will provide further support for enterprises via a programme on building the Da Lat-B’lao trademark and dissemination activities.
To that end, the centre will renew the activities of its showroom to attract more visitors by updating photos and information about products of enterprises. Also, the centre will collect information from websites of the Ministry of Trade, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, departments and authorised agencies, about markets, prices and consumption customs in order to provide more effective consultancy services for local enterprises. The centre will provide information about seminars, conferences, and training courses and fairs organised by ministries, agencies and localities and events in foreign countries.
The second main task for the centre is its promotion activity in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, the centre will boost the display of products, photos, brochures of each enterprise. At the same time, the centre will introduce tours and products for travel agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.
Finally, in 2006, the centre will promote its calling for investment to industrial parks, in particular the Lo Son industrial park, the Phu Hoi industrial complex, and tourism and trade, and projects developed by province, local agencies and enterprises.
